Power Plants
A 3/23 article by Alex Brown in the Kentucky Lantern reports that..." According to a 2025 analysis by the financial advisory firm Lazard, electricity from coal-fired power plants costs an average of $122 per megawatt-hour. That same amount of power can be produced for $78 from natural gas plants, $61 from onshore wind and $58 from utility-scale solar."

Beware of False Information about Section 230
False debate and misinformation about Section 230 is widespread and worrisome. Americans should be as educated on this topic as they can. The video below debunks some of the lies: https://youtu.be/tF_Q_Z9GUEg?si=O49RPLxfLKgVie-3

Salyersville voices
Spent yesterday hearing from folks in Salyersville that they need more youth services and better access to healthcare; there are no acute care hospitals in the county! It’s time to re-build community services – including not-for-profit healthcare - in all the towns of eastern KY, not just a few.

Isom and Power Bills
Spent yesterday meeting and talking with folks at Isom; heard much concern about power bills! If you think they are high now, take a look at what’s in store for us. The KY Lantern calls out SB 57, SB 250, HB 398, HB 535, and now SB 8 (Brandon Smith, Republican, Hazard). Together, these bills favor special interests over least-cost and most-reliable alternatives and put the cost on us, while diminishing our ability to intervene in decisions. This is the opposite of making life

Costly Distraction
Operation “Epstein Fury” has already cost the 348,503,802 people in the U.S. > $300 million in F15’s, $13 million daily for the strike force, higher oil prices, and 4 American lives lost. A very expensive distraction.

Making eastern KY less safe
Join the campaign to stop KY HB312 , which creates a provisional concealed carry license for people ages 18-20, and stop KY HB 517 , which would allow people to carry concealed guns and other deadly weapons into K-12 schools and other currently prohibited places.
